Visiting Manchester New Hampshire from Ireland

Hi Folks ,

Im not sure if my original post got shown so hence the re-type.

My wife and I are visitiing New Hampshire on the 2nd of September for 7 days staying in Manchester.

What is the weather like this time of year?. I would love any info on things to do and places to go. I am a Keen cyclist and any advice concerning cycling routes would be great I am in two minds as weither to bring my bike are to hire one but I can%26#39;t find any good hire shops. Another question is is there any Irish pubs which would be showing the international soccer match between Ireland and France on Wednesday the 7th of september 2005 and our national sport Gaelic foobtall match between Armagh and Tyrone on Sunday the 4th of september.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi bluerreyes,

The weather this time of year is absolutely beautiful. It%26#39;s been sunny a LOT lately with cool temperatures at night. So bring your windbreaker jackets and sweat shirts. You would really enjoy the Seacoast to bike, you can go from Portsmouth all the way down to Seabrook Beach or vice versa if you want. It%26#39;s really a beautiful route to take with the different bike paths all along the way. It%26#39;s only 1/2 hour drive from Manchester area. I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll hook up with people that can tell you where in Manchester to bike, I%26#39;m from the Seacoast and my nephew is in school over at St. Anselm%26#39;s College in Manchester, so I%26#39;m starting to get familiar with that area ';over there';! There%26#39;s several bike shops in Manchester there%26#39;s Banagan%26#39;s @ 603 623-3330. Jake%26#39;s @ 412 Kelley St., Manchester 603 669-5422. The Bike Barn @ 25 Maple St., 603 668-6555. One of these I%26#39;m sure must know or have rental bikes? Irish Pubs in Manchester? Absolutely! I%26#39;m sure one of these are IRISH enough by the sounds of them! if not? At least one of them will have TV%26#39;s for viewing the games! Jillian%26#39;s 50 Phillippe Cote Dr., Manchester, 603 626-7636 www.jillians.com; Tipsy McStaggers 96 Hanover St., Manchester, NH 603 625-0810. The Wild Rover @ 21 Kosciuszko St., Manchester, NH 603 669-7722 www.wildroverpub.com; The Breezeway Pub 14 Pearl St., 603 621-9111. ALWAYS check Sports Bars in New England for TV%26#39;s trust me! Moby%26#39;s SPORTS Bar %26amp; Grill 542 Elm St., 603 669-8337. Greg%26#39;s SPORTS Bar %26amp; Grill 641 Elm St., 603 622-4713., LOTS of TV%26#39;s in ';OK Parker%26#39;s'; @ 89 Hanover St., Manchester, NH 603 645-1106. If you%26#39;re near 99 Restaurants in Manchester? Always check 99%26#39;s out! They always have TV%26#39;s and games on! There%26#39;s a 99 Restaurant @ 1685 South Willow St., Manchester @ 603 641-5999. I%26#39;m sure one of these will have the games on trust me! There%26#39;s a LOT to see and do in Manchester. You%26#39;ll be busy. You%26#39;re not too far from the mountains and the Lakes region. Get the map out and take rides. The gas is expensive though for every one now and it%26#39;s not getting any cheaper these days, that%26#39;s the only problem. May be you%26#39;re better off riding your bike! I%26#39;m going to IRELAND June 24th to July 10th in 2006 for the 4th time, this time it%26#39;s Donegal and Dingle Bay area! My family is from County Cork (Bere Island). Enjoy your trip; it%26#39;ll be a beautiful time of year to be here, a little cooler at night and lately it%26#39;s been sunny every day! HAVE FUN!

I forgot one more place that DEFINITELY has a TV in there bar. It%26#39;s the Puritan Back Room Restaurant @ 245 Hooksett Rd., Manchester, NH 603 669-6890. This is without a doubt the best and I%26#39;m not kidding you, the BEST restaurant in New Hampshire! My nephew took us there last year and without a doubt it was absolutely AWESOME. You enter the restaurant out in the back of the parking lot. When you walk in the bar is right there and the TV. You walk through this area and the dining room area with all the tables and chairs are right there. They have the BEST BROILED Chicken Tenders and you have to ask for there sauce with it! They%26#39;ll know exactly what you mean because every one in creation gets them and knows about this famous dish! I%26#39;m sure you can just order them at the bar to watch the Soccer games!

Nomo1,
