Villager Motel vs Sky Valley??

Traveling with child in early July from VA to White Mtns. I%26#39;m looking for a CLEAN and comfortable/kid friendly motel. Visiting Franconia %26amp; Mt. Washington and Bartlett looks pretty and centrally located. I want to stay away from congestion and outlet stores. HELP - I can%26#39;t decide between Villager %26amp; Sky Valley.

Villager Motel vs Sky Valley??

Have stayed at both. Villager four years ago . Sky Valley three.

Both are clean. Villager a little newer in decor,etc.

Will qualify that by saying at Sky Valley we stayed in a cottage. Nice and roomy. Again clean, but well used. Very private. Cottages are nicely sited. It was great with two kids 5%26amp;2. A good value.

At Villager we stayed in an efficiency when we just had one child as a toddler. It was fine.

The Villager has a great toddler playground we used a lot.

Sky Valley,I think, had an older swingset. They may have upgraded since we were there. A great lawn. Lots of room to run around and explore. Also Sky Valley considerably further back from the road.

Sky Valley has a huge pool which looks like great fun. We were there in the fall.

Sky Valley also has easy access to the Saco River, which we took advantage of. I think Villager does ,too ,but we didn%26#39;t use it.

The management at Sky Valley was very accomodating and affable. They let us build a small campfire by the river for a marshmallow roast.

Didn%26#39;t interact much with Villager staff.

Don%26#39;t think you can go wrong with either.
