hoping to get away for a couple of days to the portsmouth area and would like to have an idea what to do with 4 15 year olds, 3 boys and a girl. Any cool activities--going on? Any suggestions would be appreciated--also would like to stay in a hotel with indoor pool any suggestions. thanks!!

You should check out the Strawberry Banke living history museum - very cool. Also, you can have a picnic at Prescott Park on the water and bring along some games or toss a ball around. The best thing is probably just wandering around and people watching. There are lots of funky shops and the people around the Portsmouth area are very %26#39;eclectic%26#39;. The Chowder Festivel begins the season on June 3 and the historical sites are open without admission on that day. Also consider Water Country which opens for the season on June 10. It is not in the downtown area, but is a nice water park about ten minutes away. A good site to check for info on the area is http://www.portsmouthnh.com. I grew up there, so I have not stayed in any hotels in the area, but there is a decent listing on the website I mentioned.
