Looking for a wedding spot

I%26#39;m looking for a romantic bed and breakfast or small hotel in New Hampshire that could host a lovely, memorable, but inexpensive wedding for 50-100 guests. Our budget is $8,000. Any great experiences or suggestions? We%26#39;re leaning towards fall for timing.

Thanks!

Wow...big request. First of all NH%26#39;s Fall Season is ';THE'; most expensive time of year. Prices are higher than any other time. Also if you are talking 2006 and not 2007 I believe that you%26#39;ll find many inns and small hotels either sold out or near sold out. Are you talking 2006?

try the wentworth hotel in jackson

Hi,

I was married on Sept 25. We did this as we were still able to enjoy some of the colors of fall without paying for it. We held our reception at the Harris Pelham Inn in Pelham NH, and it was very nice. We had a small budget and if memory serves correctly were able to feed about 120 people for around $5000.

There are some nice trees, especially birch that border their property and those tend to change early. There is also a small pond that offers a nice location for pictures. They have a gazebo and some carriages that you can use to take pictures.

Further up North you might want to try the Sunset Hill House in Sugar Hill, NH. It has wonderful views, but I do not know what their prices might be, I have a feeling it could be some what pricey.

Depending on where you go in the state, you could reap the benefits of the early colors and not payt for it.

Do you have an exact date in mind? That will help.

Hi Curious56,

It depends on how far up through the state of New Hampshire that you want your guests to drive to. If you wanted a lovely Inn that%26#39;s only an hour from Boston; then one romantic Inn that comes to my mind is the ';Victoria Inn'; in Hampton, NH which is located at 430 High St. It%26#39;s a beautiful spot for a wedding as you can see on their site. You can give them a call to talk to them more about it, if you want, it%26#39;s a toll free # 800 291-2672 and also here%26#39;s their site to check out:

When you talk to the owners you can discuss it further with them on your plans %26amp; budget and I%26#39;m sure they%26#39;ll work with you and give you a few different suggestions and ideas. It%26#39;s quite a place for a wedding and when you see it online? You%26#39;ll see what I mean! We drive by it a lot and there%26#39;s always weddings or some type of function going on there all the time and this time of year they%26#39;re pretty busy it seems.

Also as a suggestion? There%26#39;s also the ';Cathedral of the Pines'; in Rindge, NH located at 10 Hale Hill Rd. It%26#39;s got directions and all the information you%26#39;d need about it right on their site. The beauty of it is that it%26#39;s for all different faiths out there and weddings are held there all the time as well as other different ceremonies people want it for. They have a schedule of events listing on their site. I don%26#39;t know where you%26#39;d go afterwards though for a reception if you had it here, that%26#39;s the only thing, you%26#39;d have to investigate that part of it a little more, I%26#39;m not familiar with that part of NH too much. You can check it online or give them a call, there # is toll free 866 229-4520:

I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll get a lot of different ideas and suggestions, so keep checking back from time to time~

Best wishes!

Hi again,

I just got my edition of New Hampshire magazine in the mail and it lists a few neat places for weddings. One of them is in Sanbornton, NH at the Topiary at Owl%26#39;s Rest Farm, just click on small catered affairs on their site:

www.TheTopiary.com

The other really nice place I just read about is the Inn on Newfound Lake in Bridgewater, NH. I have no idea what any of these above mentioned might want to charge you, that%26#39;s the only thing. You%26#39;d have to get in touch with each one of them to discuss the arrangements further. You might want to do this as soon as you can, especially if you%26#39;re leaning toward the Fall for this ceremony....

Again, Good Luck!
