We would like to stay 3 days in the White Mountain area. I have looked at many places to stay but need to decide soon. Would love to get some recommendations Thanks!
Need a nice place to stay in North Conway or Lincoln
Hi nannydee,
Your post interests me as I see you are also looking at an Alaskan Cruise. Wow that%26#39;s a big summer with both an Alaskan and a New Hampshire/New England trip. Reaso for my interest is that I%26#39;m also doing an Alaskan cruise this year and it%26#39;s my first. Back to your questions...what are you looking for? A resort, a motel, an inn, a B%26amp;B or...? Give us a hint and hopefully I%26#39;ll be able to come back with something to fit.

Hi~
Looks like the Alaska cruise is not going to happen this summer. Our daughter is expecting a baby the first of July so I%26#39;d like to be close to home.
As far as the New England trip we would like a small inn or B%26amp;B. Thanks for the help.
The Lodge at Lincoln Station is nice...and there is a brand new Comfort Inn as well. If you are looking for a resort type atmosphere, try the Beacon or the Indian Head....
Oh! I forgot about this! The Woodstock Inn is beautiful, and has both a casual restaurant (Woodstock Station) and formal dining (Clement Room) on the premises...
nannydee,
Missed your last post. Would you consider just across the NH border into ME? Rangely is a classic New England village and the Inn is wonderful old time New England inn. Rangely is in extreme NW ME near the borders of NH and Quebec

The 2 areas you mention in the White Mtns. are quite different. In North Conway you have heavy traffic as it is an outlet shopping mecca. If that is what you would like, the Red Jacket is a great place to stay, a resort type large hotel. The Lincoln area is quieter and you would get more of being in the mountains. A great place to stay is the Mill House Inn. If you would like a condo rather than a room, the Village at Loon Mountain has a lot to offer. I%26#39;m sure you can find both on the web. These two areas are connected by the Kangamangus Highway... 26 miles thru the mountains and is a lovely trip, so no matter where you stay, be sure to take this trip. A beautiful driving trip is: lets say you are staying in Lincoln... take the Kangamangus to Route 16N, follow Route 16N thru North Conway to Route 302W, follow Route 302W to Route 93S. Route 302W take you thru Crawford Nothc, which I think is the prettiest notch. Be sure to stop to visit the Mount Washington Hotel, on Rt 302. They welcome visitors, sit on their huge veranda and have a snack. You can see the cog railroad traveling up Mt. Washington from the veranda. Follow Route 93S back to exit 32/Lincoln. All along the Kangamangus and Route 302 you%26#39;ll find hiking trails, picnic areas, etc.... lots to see. You can just change these directions if you are staying in North Conway. Have a great trip.
in regards to the last post the Mill House Inn is now InnSeason Resorts South Mountain and has been renovated. Their website is www.innseason.com
If you want to learn more about Lincoln try their website:

Lincoln has many fine resorts and inns. I guess it comes down to what your preferences are. Traffic or scenery. Lincoln wins for scenery.
Check out nordic village or nestlenook farm. We%26#39;ve been staying there each year since 1989 and love it.
