Inn at Ellis River or Inn at Thorn Hill

My husband and I are planning a trip to the White mountains for a few days. Can anyone give advice on the Inn at Ellis River and/or the Inn at Thorn Hill in Jackson. If you feel there is a better place in the Jackson area feel free to share. Thank you!

Inn at Ellis River or Inn at Thorn Hill

Haven%26#39;t personally stayed at either but I have heard lots of good comments about The Inn at Thorn Hill.

Inn at Ellis River or Inn at Thorn Hill

Jackson chamber of commerce classifies Inn at Ellis as a country inn. It is located just outside the village across rt 16 nestled on the river. people who stay seem to enjoy it. Thorn Hill is not a member of c of c ????? but is more like a upscale small hotel offering alot of amenities. it is located just off main st near the covered bridge. both are nice places to stay but different. if you%26#39;re a B %26amp; B type you might want to consider the Carter Notch Inn. It gets great reviews. Also the Jackson - Conway area has a ton of great places to eat. Enjoy!

The Inn at Thorn Hill is simply amazing! Lovely, comfortable guest rooms, a beautiful parlor (especially beautiful at Christmas time), a small pub for pre -dinner drinks, appetizers or peraps a game of checkers and the food is to die for! The view from the front porch is breathtaking.

Thank you for your responses. We did end up at The Thorn Hill Inn and loved it!! The rooms, staff, spa, and food were fantastic. We highly recommend staying there.

The Inn at Ellis River is a cozy, friendly place to stay.

All the rooms are unique. Please visit the website at

www.innatellisriver.com They have a wonderful package: Waterfall Adventure, Midsummer Night%26#39;s Dream.....

All the rates include a full breakfast and afternoon refreshments.

This is the place to stay.
