We are looking to go to Hampton for the weekend for a suprise birthday party but don%26#39;t want to kennel our dogs again. Any hotel, cottages, etc that allow dogs?

Thanks

Any place in Hampton to stay with 2 dogs?

Hi Sezthadei,

There were only a few places that I could see online close to the seacoast area that is pet friendly. One of them is the Residence Inn in Portsmouth, NH. They allow pets, they charge a fee though, you%26#39;d have to give them a call to discuss it further with them if you choose this place. May be it wouldn%26#39;t be as bad for just a weekend stay, it%26#39;s up to you. This Residence Inn by Marriott is located at One International Drive which is the Pease Tradeport not too far from the Fox Run Mall in Newington, NH. It%26#39;s actually a few miles away from the beach you%26#39;re going to though, it%26#39;s not a bad drive, just a little out of the way though.

The other place that has pets allowed on their site is the Best Western The Inn at Hampton which is located right on Rte 1 at 815 Lafayette Rd. only a few miles from the beach area, they allow pets in smoking rooms only and also the pet has to be at least under 50 pds. (What are they going to do, put the dog on a scale and weigh it or something!) There # is 603 926-6771 if you wanted to discuss it further with the Innkeepers.

I don%26#39;t see any motels or hotels at the beach that allow pets. I seem to remember a televised meeting at the Selectmen%26#39;s town office one night and they were discussing the No Pets policy at the beach due to the huge crowds that are there during the summer months. I%26#39;d be surprised if you actually found a place at the beach that would allow pets? May be if you keep checking back here form time to time some one will enlighten us on this issue a little more and may be there really IS a place at the beach that would be pet friendly for you. I know the people in town that are in charge of the Seafood Festival they have every year usually will try to discourage people from bringing their dogs to the Seafood Festival every year because of the huge amount of kids and baby carriages etc...they%26#39;re kind of afraid something could happen over there one of these days with too too many dogs, even with these dogs on their chains and leashes and I have to agree with them because one of these days, with the thousands of people with young kids strolling through, there could be a serious incident one of these days over there. Even though they have a strict leash law, a lot of people still can%26#39;t get it through there heads that families with young kids come first at that beach, especially when it comes to the huge crowds they get now.

Good Luck just the same, I%26#39;m sure you will get more discussion on this to help you out a little more with finding a place! I think myself that the Best Western Inn at Hampton might be the place for you to tell you the truth, especially where there site says they%26#39;re pet friendly. It%26#39;s located only a few miles from the beach, it%26#39;s past the center of the town of Hampton, past the Old Salt/Lamie%26#39;s restaurant, keep driving up this Rte 1/Lafayette Rd. and you%26#39;ll see the Best Western on the right hand side just beyond Remick%26#39;s Funeral Home, you can%26#39;t miss it on the righthand side of the road. When you%26#39;re going back over the beach area you can very easily head over there by driving right back the way you came heading south down Rte 1 and when you pass the center of town (Hampton) area you take a left just before the Galley Hatch Restaurant to get yourself over to the beach again, you%26#39;ll see the sign right there for the beach as a matter of fact.

Good Luck and have a great time!
