Bow Lake Inn

Has anyone ever been to the Bow Lake Inn in Strafford? Is there anything close by that you can do there? i%26#39;ll be there for a family reunion and I am a total New Yorker.

Bow Lake Inn

Hi,

Was not familiar with the inn so I looked it up at www.bowlakeinn.com . This is maybe 20 miles east of Concord (the Capitol) and in a quiet area of NH. It does not appear to be on an island but it appear ner the lake.

Good news is that it%26#39;s a day trip to everywhere. The NH Coast is maybe 30 miles east and the ME Coast beging a little north of there. Boston is an hour and a half south and the NH mountains are barely an hour north.

So enjoy. It will be pretty and you%26#39;ll get to see the whole family as a bonus!

Bow Lake Inn

My family has a cottage on Bow Lake. I drive by the Inn often during the summer. I have never stayed there myself though. Some family has stayed there in the past before renovations and said it was OK. That was quite some time ago, and I%26#39;m sure it is even better since the renovations.

As the previous post stated, this is a quiet part of NH. If you like antiquing, near by route 4 has many small antique shops. There are also a couple of golf corses in the area. Other than that there is not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity. Concord NH, Manchester NH and Kittery ME are reasonable driving distance. Kittery has many outlet stores.

Bow Lake itself is a very nice lake. You could rent a canoe or motor boat, fish or swim if you are going in the summer.

I just noticed your other post.

No, the Bow Lake Inn is not on an Island. It is not even on the lake. It would be a short walk to the town beach.

Thank you so much!
