Thinking of staying at Seabrook Inn

We%26#39;re taking the kids for a small weekend getaway and were thinking about staying at the Seabrook Inn. I%26#39;ve seen only a few photos online and they seemed pretty old. The rate seems really cheap and I%26#39;m wondering if the hotel is clean or if it%26#39;s kindof.... how should I say.... yucky. Any advice? I have two kids, ages 2 and 5. Thanks!

Thinking of staying at Seabrook Inn

I live on the Seacoast and I just drove by that Seabrook Inn the other day! It%26#39;s not THAT bad!!!!! It actually looked a lot better than when I had friends stay there a few years ago!

It%26#39;s cleaned up more! Also a girl I worked with stayed there last summer and they really liked it. Then again? They have really young kids like you; so it made sense to bring them there! You know, your two kids will really like their petting farm because I brought my nieces and nephews there a few times when they were that age, it%26#39;s really cute. Oh go for it! You%26#39;ll only be there for a couple of days any way and hey where can you go that cheap now a days---have FUN that%26#39;s the most important thing, the summer will be over before you know it and you%26#39;ll have GOOD MEMORIES with your kids from staying there, that%26#39;s the main thing! It couldn%26#39;t be as ';yucky'; as the place my mother and I took my nieces down the Cape! It was a long that Rte 3 or whatever you call it in W. Yarmouth. Talk about ';yucky';, my nieces wouldn%26#39;t even put there feet on the rug; we laughed so hard with them, they were like 6 and 8 at the time! Talk about MEMORIES? They%26#39;re teenagers now and we STILL laugh about it! I booked this ';yucky'; motel down at W.Yarmouth for one night because it was during a ';heat wave'; and I just wanted to get down the Cape sooner with them! The place we were staying at which was REALLY MUCH nicer than this dive wasn%26#39;t available until the next day! Well we laugh still to this day over it! HEY HAVE FUN AND ENJOY YOURSELVES! Believe me, that Seabrook Inn is NOT the ';yucky'; place I stayed at down the Cape---trust me, the Seabrook Inn does CIRCLES around it!!!

Thinking of staying at Seabrook Inn

I just stayed at the Seabrook inn last week ( 7/22-7/27/05) with my sister and 7 yr niece. The rooms are average, not 5 star but very liveable. We had a 1st floor room not far from the pool, and felt comfortable enough to let my niece go back to the room her self. Some of the people on the pool side rooms had small grills set up for bbq%26#39;s etc.

The attractions to us were great. The water slide was awesome for my niece, your kids will be too small for it, the inn has a 4 foot rule on the water slide but were not to strict on that. The main pool has a small frog water slide that I am sure they would love. Almost every hour there is another kid activity going on. Moon walks, obstable course, train rides, pony rides. Petty zoo is open all day. Small but not to bad. Ride personal were a little anti social I think, speak limited english and sometimes a little abrupt with the kids, but overall not bad.

OUr room had a small fridge which we did not expect, so we were able to go to a local grocery store, get cheese, cold meat, salads etc for picnic lunches at the pool and water country. Plus snack stuff for the room

the free continental breakfast is basic bagels, toast, coffee, donuts, cereal. The place gets very busy and crowded around 8:00-9:00 we found bringing the food back to the room easier, with 2 small kids that may be the way to go.

Close to major chain resturaunts, pub 99, applebees, pizza hut.(about 5 miles) Even closer about 1 mile is a family restuarant that was pretty good.

Well I hope this helped. If you are looking a place for kids, I think this is it. If you are looking for a fancy hotel than this is not for you.
