What%26#39;s this area like? Any info on Hawthorn Suites or the Boston University Education Center? I%26#39;m assuming I%26#39;ll need a rental car to get around.
Any info will be appreciated!

Hi,
I live in the surrounding area, about 8 minutes from this hotel.
I assume you%26#39;re staying at the Hawthorne Suites in Chelmsford, MA on Drum Hill. They are fairly new, and you may find some other info about them on the web. I believe I read something positive recently. The location of the hotel is in a busy shopping area. Starbucks is very close to the hotel in a little plaza; Dunkin Donuts across the very busy street. There are a few small restaurants within the immediate area. I highly recommend Panera Bread near Walmart in the big shopping plaza across the street. Free Wi-Fi, great breads, sandwiches, soups, and desserts. Very busy at lunch. Not sure how late they%26#39;re open.
You will definitely need a rental car. I assume you%26#39;re flying to Manchester, N.H.-it%26#39;s about 35 minutes south to Chelmsford, MA which is near the NH border. Tyngsboro, MA is a couple of towns closer to NH (on the border of Nashua, N.H.). You will see the sign on the highway (Rte. 3) for the exit to the B.U. Education Center. I%26#39;ve been there for a day conference. It has nice facilities, an accomodating staff, and nice grounds to walk around. It%26#39;s not near walking distance to anything, though, so I%26#39;m sure they will provide your meals during the conference right there. If you have any extra time, try to get to see the Lowell National Historic Park, site of the Industrial Revolution. Tours are free (or minimal), lots of good restaurants and ethnic food in downtown Lowell. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!
