Place to visit for fall colors

Hi,

We - myself, my wife and 3 year old son - want to visit NH for fall colors. I heard that best time would be between 8th October - 15th October.

Can someone suggest good place / town to visit. We will be tranvelling from South New Jersey.

Thanks.

Jackson, NH. Located in the heart of thw Whie Mountains, there are lots of options for activites, and it is absolutely beautiful! Jackson has a wonderful small town feel, amazing scenery and a great selection of inns and B%26amp;Bs.

For outdoor activites, the area is perfect for day hiking with many beautiful natural sites to see. The Appalachian Mountain Club has a lodge in Pinkham Notch at the base of Mt. Washington (just a few minutes uo the road). The AMC is a great source for local information, maps, suggested trails, nature programs and more. You can visit their website at outdoors.org.

Just south of Jackson is Storyland, a wonderful take for toddlers, it%26#39;s a small Disney-quality park that your three year old may love.

If your looking for outlet shopping, North Conway is just down the road. North Conway also has a great village center with interesting shops for browsing and a lot of excellent dining options.

Your timing should be excellent for foliage. Reserve early, it can get very busy this time of year.

this is like the 900th inquiry on where to go in NH for foliage viewing (seemingly). Mount Washington Valley (Conways, Jackson, Bartlett) has the most to offer. The timing is right....around Columbus Day weekend.
