My husband and I are and our two boyz 3 and 5 are thinking of coming to the beach in mid May. Is there anything open at this time of year? Are the hotels open and do you think it will be warm enough to walk the beach. Also where can you find good shells in Hampton and are there any sharks teeth to find or not? Also does anyone have good recommendations hotel right on the beach front. Thank You so much.

Mid May can be a mixed bag. Warm one day cool next or even cold. You will want jackets to walk beach. At that time of year things are starting to open but it%26#39;s Memorial Day before the whole place is open for business. As for shells on the beach it is not Sanibel Island but after the winter you never know what you%26#39;ll find. As far as sharks teeth maybe ... but most likely they we be in a souvenier stand.
