We are visiting Boston in the first week of November 2005 and want to go snow boarding. Anyone know where we could go for this? We%26#39;re thinking of hiring a car from Boston and travelling 2-3 hours outside to hopefully where there%26#39;s some snow.
Cheers
Snow in November?
mmmmmmmm, it%26#39;s unlikely, but possibilty there would be snow......Maybe man made snow at the resorts by then.
Snow in November?Killington in Vermont MAY be open, but who knows. If it is open, it%26#39;ll most likely be on more advanced terrain and man-made snow. It really is a crapshoot that time of year.
Last year Killington opened on November 9th. They are the earliest mountain to open in New Englan. You may want to keep and eye on their website for opening day announcements.
yeah, don%26#39;t count on it. Better chance of hitting Powerball.
no snow in New England anywhere in November, sorry - I wish I had better news for you. Last year I went to Killington, NH over Thankgsgiving and the slopes were bare. If the resort opens for business at the end of November, they have a snow guarantee or your money back. Just a few trails would be open though. They normally are the first ski resort to open in late fall and the last to close in late spring. Takes about 3,5 hours to get there from Boston. I suggest you should rent skis though, since there are lots of rocks until mid-December at least.
Good luck to you,
Laura
