Hi can anyone help ? We are hoping to spend our first family ski-ing holiday in New Hampshire (Cranmore) but can only go in our Easter Holiday which is quite late next year, starting 8th April. Before booking I would like to know if there should still be snow and are there snow machines for back up ? Thank you !
Ski-ing in April, any snow ?
There will be snow to be found, most likely, but probably not at Cranmore. Sunday River is just over an hour from North Conway. They have the best conditions and snowmaking year round of just about any ski area in NE, and they normally ski well into April. Attitash, a partner resort of Sunday River next door in Bartlett, has a good chance of some terrain still skiable then, too. But Sunday River will have the most. Bretton Woods and Wildcat might still be open if the spring weather isn%26#39;t too mild too soon......
Ski-ing in April, any snow ?
Sunday River is definitely a better bet for late season skiing. We skiied into April last year at Wildcat, but it had been a very long winter.
If you%26#39;re up to travelling farther take a look at Sugarloaf USA, Kingfiled ME. The have a very long ski seaon.
Thanks for the info, would the same go for Stowe ?
Any ideas on good hotels or accommodation in the Sunday River area ?
Stowe could be open in early April. But Sunday River and Killington will likely have the most terrain still open. Can%26#39;t help on local accomodations, though.
