lodging near six gun city & santas village

Does anyone have any suggestions on a family friendly place to stay near Six Gun City? There will be 2 adults and 2 kids ages 6 %26amp; 2. We would prefer to stay as close to Santas village as possible since it will take us 3 hours to get there. We plan on doing Six gun City the first day we arrive. The next day Santas Village then on our way home the third day we plan on hitting Conway railroad. We would like to avoid the Conway area until the last day if possible. A place with a pool would be great and a place for dh %26amp; I to sit outside the room once the little ones go to bed at night is also a plus. Nothing fancy just a clean comfortable place to lay our heads at night. Has anyone been to six gun city lately? I hope it%26#39;s better than when I was little. My husband really wants to go there this year instead of Story Land. Thanks in advance for any help!!

You could stay at the Cabot Lodge in Lancaster. Just head up 93 through the notch and its a nice ride. Or you can stay in Twin Mtn which has a few motels. It would be best to go to Santa%26#39;s Village from there and then Six Gun City. Leave Six Gun City and head to Gorham and stay at the Town %26amp; Country Inn (good food)Next day head to Conway.

We were to six gun city 3 years ago and unless they added attractions there really isn%26#39;t that much there. For the kids I would recommend storyland or Clark%26#39;s trading post.

Santa%26#39;s Village is fabulous (our favorite) but there isn%26#39;t much else around. There are two motels that are right close to Santa%26#39;s Village if I remember correctly...the Lantern?? You might want to check out Santa%26#39;s Village website since I know they list accommodations. We stay at the Town and Country in Shelburne and it%26#39;s wonderful. A bit out of the way but we come from Maine through route 2 anyway. Just a mile or two beyond the route 16 road to go to Story Land. Family owned and operated, clean, excellent food (home cooked), indoor heated pool, game room, etc. Last fall, they had a fabulous package which included room, dinner and breakfast for 2 and tickets to Santa%26#39;s Village, Story Land or Six Gun City. They ran that package all summer too. Cost was $140 all inclusive. A bit more for children. I would recommend Story Land but it appears that you have been before. Know what you mean about Six Gun City...remember 30 years ago my folks saying it wasn%26#39;t such a great place but there appears to have been lots of upgrades. We drove by going to Santa%26#39;s Village last fall but it closes after Labor Day. If you have older kids, Heritage House right next to Story Land is wonderful...lots of history...can%26#39;t explain it but it%26#39;s not like a museum (travel through 400 years of history).
