Littleton vacation?

I am looking for a quiet vacation in the white mountains away from crowds...is Littleton a good location or too far removed from the White Mountains?

Thanks

Littleton vacation?

Littleton and the many surrounding communities (Bethlehem, Whitefield, Sugar Hill, Franconia, Easton etc) all are conveniently located to attractions in the north and west of the White Mtns. Actually, the area is small enough, that you can do a day trip to Conway/Jackson and be thankful you don%26#39;t have to deal with that traffic regularly. Also, Eastern Vermont is nearby and some people like to make a day-trip to Canada just to say they%26#39;ve done it. Area accommodations range from clean, simple and inexpensive to elegant luxury in wonderfully out of the way (quiet) locations.

For families and couples prime attractions include the White Mtn Nat%26#39;l Forest as well as the Crawford and Franconia Notch State parks with their waterfalls, hikes and scenic wonders. There%26#39;s Santa%26#39;s Village, Six Gun City, Clarks Trading Post as well as Storyland and Heritage New Hampshire on the Conway side of Crawford. A ride on the Cog RR or autoroad up Mt Washington is a classic as well as the tram up Cannon Mtn in Franconia. Essentially, there is pretty much anyone could look for except for nightlife after about 10 pm . . . Of course, Boston is only 2.5 hours south.
