Good Restaurants

I am planning on staying at the Inn at Ellis River. Can anyone please recommend some great places to eat around there. Reasonably prices etc. Also has anyone stayed at this Inn???

Good Restaurants

The Inn changed hands about 10 months ago but little has changed. It is your typical NE B%26amp;B with nice clean rooms, breakfest in the morning-has a small game room and bar and is located on rte 16 just outside Jackson Village next to the Exxon station. I%26#39;ve heard some negatives about the new owners but I could probably get as many positives as well. As for food-the ares has an abundance of restuarants with various prices. Within walking distance of your Inn we have:

Thompson House- good food, nice atmosphere

Wildcat Inn- has a pub menu as well as regular

Red Fox - large menu and bar - gets alot of kids but you can sit in the bar area if they bother you.

Shannon Door- fantastic Irish pub with live music located directly across from your Inn. Cash only-no cc.

Stay away from the Inn at Thorn Hill unless you want to pay top dollar and leave hungry.

Stayed at the Ellis River Inn last year and hated it!!!! Old, run down, too many knick knacks in the bedroom - worn out carpets - one of the worst places I have stayed at!!!

I stayed at the Inn at Ellis River last year and it wasn%26#39;t awful like the previous poster suggested. Yes, it is overdecorated with girly knicknacks that I would expect would drive a guy crazy, but otherwise it%26#39;s a quiet, clean lodging, that is roomy with lots of amenities. I%26#39;ve stayed at much worse in Jackson.
