Biker Bars in North Conway Area

We%26#39;re heading up for a couple of nights in North Conway on motorcycles. Looking for some watering holes along the way. We%26#39;re leaving from MA on 8/22. Also need advice on some restaurants in the area. Haven%26#39;t been to North Conway in a few years and would like to stay clear of the ';tourist strip'; if possible. Any input would be very welcome. Thanks.

There are a few posts in here about North Conway. Want to avoid the tourist strip, then stay around the North Conway Village or north into Intervale/Bartlett/Glen. I%26#39;ve been vacationing in North Conway for much of the past 25 years; the last 15+ of drinking age. I don%26#39;t know of any strictly biker bars, but I think the Red Parka Pub in Glen at the junction of 302 and 16 would probably be the closest fit. Very rustic inside, live music and toss your peanut shells on the floor....

Thanks!

Defiantly not a biker bar, but I was amazed with the food at the Muddy Moose (on the north end of the main touristy drag?) I was up their for my honeymoon last Oct, and after everything I read about Conway, I said no matter what that is one place we will avoid. Hunger pangs and grumpiness… we ended up at the cheesy looking Muddy Moose and had the BEST food of our whole trip! Steamed Mussels, (best I had ever had), Wild Boar Marsala and something else terrific too… mmm

I have to agree with the Visitators. We go to the Muddy Moose every year. Their chicken wings and their ribs are awesome (definitely have them if you go there). The place is quite busy on weekends - during peak hours 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. But if you can miss the peak times - it is well worth it. Good beer too.

The Red Parka Pub up in Glen (10-15 minutes north of town) is a good young persons bar. Live bands - loud music - lots of smoke (at least when we were there last year). Tons of people crammed in there.

Not too many other places that I am aware of to go out to in that area. Good luck - have a good bike ride.
