Can anyone recommend a campground no more then 2 hours from Boston? I need something either lakeside, beachside or anything swimmable. My boyfriend and I just stayed at Seven Maples in NH, and while the owner was really nice, the campsites were on top of eachother and we were kept up all night by drunk high school kids. Our site was also right on a main road, so between the kid%26#39;s techno music and cars driving by, we didn%26#39;t really feel one with nature. We want to try again! Help!

Does it have to be in NH?If not there%26#39;s also another option for ya.Thats in the Berkshires in Western Mass.There%26#39;s also plenty of great camping out there.I%26#39;ve been to a few out in that area that are great...
Check out MA%26#39;s s campground diretory here.

One place I stayed at that I thought was good was called Shady Pines Campground out in Savoy,MA.
But don%26#39;t let one campground get you down about that state..What you should try doing is getting a list of campgrounds in the area and have that as a back up.I do this myself. And I check out what the area has to offer.
Or how about the Cape Cod area?There%26#39;s plenty of great camping out that way.

2 hours from Boston? Counting traffic? Would you be willing to drive a little further, and walk a little further to ';Feel one with nature';?
Try Russell Pond, one of the White Mountain National Forest campgrounds, it has a lake, and showers of you want some amenities. Just off Rte 93, near Waterville, not a bad drive.
A couple more hours in the car could get you to Evans Notch, the uncrowded part of the White Montains in western Maine. There a a number of camgrounds along 113, and some good swimming holes, rivers, etc.
