My friends and i are looking for a campground in the lakes or white mountains regions of NH that are meant for people that DO NOT like to go to bed at 10pm and get up at 5am.
The campgrounds i have went to in the past require quiet hours starting at 10pm - but thats just when we want to be sitting around the campfire having a few beers!
Does anyone know of a place that isn%26#39;t orientated all around little kids that go to bed early and get up early?
Camping for the party type
Points for honesty - but I can%26#39;t think of a single campground that is going to fit the bill. It%26#39;s not just the little kids, some of us adults like to go to sleep at 10 PM too - especially if we%26#39;ve been up since 5 AM hiking all day.
Have you thought about a cabin rental? If you%26#39;re renting a private cabin (and some are very reasonable) you%26#39;ll have fewer rules about quiet time, etc.
Most people are heading up to the mountains for peace and quiet. Nothing wrong with having a couple of beers around the campfire, but last I recall sitting down and opening up a cold one after a long day of outdoor activities was not something that would be called noisy?
On the other hand, if you%26#39;re planning to hoot and holler, talk loud, yell and curse - maybe you could find a nice place in Kenmore Square.

Have you considered a bluegrass festival. Maine would be best for this as they are less strict. But at a bluegrass festival the camping is included in the ticket price and the field picking doesn%26#39;t even start until 11 p.m., there are quiet areas set aside so they would ask you upon arrival if you are picking or retiring early. They are also all over NH and upstate NY. It may not be the White Mountains but its a close second and Maine is gorgeous this time of year...Good luck - and happy camping!
Search for a campground along Tripoli Rd, off Rte 93 in the Whites.
