Going to Whitney House Inn! HELP!!

I%26#39;m taking my husband to The Whitnet House Inn this weekend and after reading a few of the comments about it I don%26#39;t think we should go, some of this sounds just horrible.This is my birthday gift to him, a nice romantic weekend away(without the children) and something we haven%26#39;t done for years and I%26#39;m expecting the worst!!I don%26#39;t think I can get a refund and I really can%26#39;t afford to lose that money. Any suggestions??Help!

We stayed at the Whitney two weeks ago and loved it! I think you will be ok. It has great charm.

We have stayed at Whitney%26#39;s for the past 3 years and always stayed in one of the cottages. They are not ';high end.'; But if you want to stay in a quaint mountainside cottage, you can%26#39;t beat them. They have 2 bed rooms, a living room with fireplace and a small bathroom. Good for 3 to 5 nights. The inn is charming and the common areas well kept. Fantastic location at the Base of Black Mt. Ski to the door. In all, this inn may not be a Holiday Inn or a Four Seasons, but is what we would call a New England Inn

Well, I took my husband away for the weekend(Nov. 12th %26amp; 13th) for his birthday and I was so nervous because of some of the negative feedback, but I guess you just can%26#39;t please everyone. We were so happy with the whole Inn and package for the weekend. The room was quaint,cozy and CLEAN, the meals included were superb, right from breakfast to dinner and the staff couldn%26#39;t have been anymore helpful and friendly. The surroundings are just beautiful, like a picture postcard of New England and none of the hecticness like some other Inns seemed to be like this weekend.

I would also like to ';Thank'; everyone there(especially in reservations) for being so patient and nice to me when I was nervous about all the reviews. You were right, it%26#39;s a beautiful Inn and we can%26#39;t wait to come back.
