Comfort Inn, Ashland, NH

We were very disappointed with the quality of service at the Comfort Inn. The outside was poorly planned, unattractive and difficult to manage with suitcases. The inside was attractive, but uninviting. The desk clerk was cold, unfriendly and unhelpful. The breadkfast area was tiny, with 3 tables lined up against the hallway wall--a family of 4 could not sit together, and we had to wait for a table while holding our food in a crowded hallway.

Our room was advertised as a ';mountain view'; but the windows were so dirty that we perferred to close the shades.

This is supposed to be a 2 star establishment, but it did not live up to basic level.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn Ashland October 2004 and found the accommodation perfectly satisfactory. It is true that there is no breakfast area but it is obviusly designed for people to take breakfast back to their rooms to eat. Our room was large and clean and had a full size refridgerator and a microwave. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs one flight. One of the receptionists needs some training in the hospitality business!
