We live near UNH in Durham, but have never really experienced New Hampshire for a summer vacation. Is there a good place we could go where I could golf, and my kids could go horseback riding? Any help would be appreciated.

Check out Tamworth NH, a quaint small village. There are several golf courses close by and a working old fashion farm in the village. You can stay right in town at several B%26amp;Bs.

The town of Littleton (named the 2003 Great American Main street withover 50 shops) is the spot, not only are there half a dozen golf courses within 30 minutes, there is hiking, tennis, bike trails, fishing, lakes. Horseback riding within 10 minutes of the town.
The kids will love the towns covered bridge, renovated working Grist Mill and historic museum, Polyanna,Litleton Coin Company, Village Book store (with special toy section) as well as Chutters General Store (with the world%26#39;s longest candy counter, which the kids and adults will love). There is a great Inn in town- Beal House Inn within walking distance of Main street with an award winning restaurant and Martini Bar for the adults and an accommodating chef who will adjust the menu for kids.
Bretton Woods has evrything your looking for. Jackson has golfing and there is horseback riding available near Attitash
